Today was a nice laidback kind of day. Despite going to bed at 2am after the party last night I was up at 8am, well I say up but I actually spent the morning in bed watching TV. It was pouring down with rain and gale force winds outside so I stayed nice and cosy under the duvet listening to the rain lashing at the windows and the wind whistling down the chimney breast. At lunchtime it brightened up so we got dressed and headed down to Rotherham intending to go to Magna Science Centre. But we got so distracted looking for somewhere to go for lunch (and also ending up in a really rough and scary area of Rotherham, don't want to repeat that experience any time soon) that we really didn't leave ourselves with enough time (it says you need 4 hours to really see it all) So instead we went to Meadowhall :) I had fun browsing the sales, but I was really good and didn't buy anything! I saw some gorgeous shoes in House of Fraser reduced from £129 to £29 but I decided to be good and put them back. However I now wish I had bought them!! I am going to pop into our House of Fraser in town tomorrow to see if they have a pair there in my size (shopping regrets!) Mr Bertie treated himself to a posh new hard case suitcase reduced down from £180 to just £45, absolute bargain. The blue cross sale they are having in House of Fraser is fab, some massive reductions!
Now we are home and making a bit of tea, it's started raining and is really windy again so we have the heating blasting out and we are going to curl up on the sofa and watch a DVD. Perfect Sunday evening. What is everyone else up to tonight?
