Look Who Arrived In The Post!

Dress from Dorothy Perkins (old), Tights from Topshop, Belt from Internactionale, Shoes from Peacocks

After months and months of searching, I have finally found a pair of coloured tights that I actually dare to wear! I was browsing in Topshop yesterday (this browsing session also involved me getting stuck in a pair of skinny jeans and buying some red glittery nail polish)   when I came across these near the till. The sales assistant promised me they weren't massively shiny (Which I hate) so I trusted her (I am not so sure missy, they do have a slight shine!) and parted with my £6. I do like them though so I will let her off for the non shiny promise she broke.

I am just about to head off to work (another pre 7am photo session) but wanted to share with you what who arrived in the post yesterday afternoon, everybody say hello to Dolly the Dummy.....
Dolly has come into my life to fulfill three purposes. The first purpose is to put my clothes on her to show how they look when selling them on here and on ebay (I don't always like to put them on myself when selling them, don't know why?!), the second purpose is to use for my dressmaking when I eventually get going (I really got to get moving with this) I got her in a size 6-8 as I only plan on making clothes for myself (for now anyway, if I get any good at it I will get a proper adjustable dressmakers dummy) and lastly she is part of the plans for my dressing room when it is decorated and finished. She will stand in the corner wearing accessories and looking all marvelous and wonderful.

Have a lovely Thursday everyone, are you glad you got to meet Dolly?

You're more than welcome, I am just so glad you found it even remotely useful, I have a tendency to ramble and sometimes (well a lot of times) I know people wish I would just shut up lol.

    1. I am not sure what size Maria is, you will have to measure her or try some clothes on her to see if she fits. I didn't buy her by size as she was sold as a decorative one to stand in your room as decoration, so she may be a non uniform size, sorry. She is still lovely though :)

Thanks hun, yup still going strong :)

    1. Thanks Jenny, yes shiny tights are really hard to pull off especially if, like me, you don't have tootpick skinny legs. They add inches that I don't need! lol.

  18. You should go back to that missy and tell her that the tights are shiny!! :p
But the color is perfect. I have one pair in this color, but mine is totally mat fortunately (maybe because they are thicker?)

    Love, A!

  23. Agh I would love a Dolly Dummy of my own! So fun, even just as a decorative piece. I tried dressmaking once and bought loads of fabric and patterns.... only to give up after my first (failed) attempt. I was never great with perseverance, haha! Hope you fare much better than me :)

    1. Aw that is a shame that you didn't persevere, I hope I can manage to. I am trying to do it in little stages so I don't overwhelm myself with too much at once, that way hopefully I will stick to it. I am going to start with the absolute basics and slowly work up.

      Glad you like Dolly :)
