Primark From The Top of My Head To The Tips of My Toes

Skirt, Blouse, Vest, Tights, Blazer and Shoes all from Primark!!

Ah we all know how much I love Primark (oh I do, I really do!) but this outfit all being from Primark was actually an accident. I bought the skirt (£8) and blouse (£6) yesterday and then decided to put my vest (£4) under the blouse, the blazer (£15) over the blouse and topped it off with my recent Primark sales bargain shoes (£6) oh and don't forget the ever present tights (£2.50) meaning today my outfit cost a grand total of £41.50!!! ABSOLUTE BARGAIN!! For this price I will take two please!! No only joking, but there's a thought...

Today is FRIDAY, all together now, Wooo hooooo!  Mr Bertie just took me out for a lovely meal after work and now we are at home chilling out.  Work is done until Monday (lets not even think about Monday) and I am going out partying tomorrow night.  I have a lot to get done this weekend. I have written a mini to do list to motivate myself;
  • Take Christmas tree down - it is a real tree and we bought it on 4th December, well done for lasting so long tree!
  • Make and send out my thank you cards for Christmas presents
  • Get together all the clothes to put on ebay
  • Sort out my pyjama and underwear drawer (lol)
  • Clean the house (I feel like I am always doing this!)
  • Do the food shopping online (I love Sainsburys online)
Finally, I just wanted to share my favourite comment on my outfit from yesterday, it was a comment saying I suited my dress as I am tall. You don't know how much that made my day as I am just under 5'3" (160cm) and would love to be taller. I even sometimes manage to convince myself I am 5'9" (can you remember that Corinne? That was funny that I thought I was so tall lol). I regularly shop in the kids section and when I take my heels off in front of someone for the first time they usually comment "oh my god you are short, I thought you were tall!" haha. So I must be really good at creating the illusion of a tall person (yey) so much so I have convinced myself I am (double yey) so just wanted to give a shout out to the lovely lady who said that yesterday, it really made me smile, thank you Gigi :)

  1. How do I put my hair in a bun like that? Share.

Hahahaha, yes I remember the first time we met and we were at your mums house and you said 'I'm taller than you' and I said no, so we stood infront of the mirror and you just looked and said 'oh, well we are the same height'.. um, no I'm 5 ft 7 and you are 5ft 3.

Friday woooo. I've had a terrible day at work today. Help. Maybe I will facebook you about it.

    1. you need a donut (not the eating variety) although I suppose an eating one would be good to have also whilst you do the hair... then you put hair in a ponytail, sit the donut around it, tuck hair around and back into itself around the donut and then put clear hair bobbles around the bun it creates so it pins all the loose hair to the base of the ponytail around the donut. It's a bit hard to explain, youtube it :) it takes 2 minutes, I do it when I don't have time to wash my hair :) Google sock bun also, I have seen a few bloggers do that! that would be so much harder I think.

I know, I had tall dreams and you stamped on them! Lol, joking.

Ok FB me, sorry if I dont reply tonight, I am dying of illness (MS stuff) making me grumpy. I need some cheese!

  5. This outfit is lovely, and I like your hair up in a bun like that. Glad you were so pleased to be thought of as being tall - I'm 5ft 9 and sometimes wish I was petite because it would make me feel cuter and more dainty!!

Hope you get everything done on your list, good luck!

    1. Thanks Lisa :) I always think tall looks dainty, reminds me of a dancer when someone is tall, I feel like a little elf or oompa loompa sometimes at my height haha, it's all in my head though I guess!

  10. Love this outfit, and the fact that it didn't cost much! You really don't need to spend a lot to be stylish:) And LOL on the height comment. I'm 5ft tall, so I don't think I've ever heard anyone call me tall...jealous! :P

    1. Thanks Emmy, I enjoy trying to find nice things for cheap. Someone at work today said to me "you look very posh" I loved replying and telling her it is one of the cheapest outfits I own, I love Primark!

Aw I will comment on your blog and call you tall so you can feel excited like me too haha.

    1. I hope they open in Australia soon, especially as I may be moving there at end of 2013/start of 2014 for a few years (for Mr Bertie's job) however will I cope without my Primark if they don't open over there and we move over?! I never even considered this, oh noes lol.

  15. That is so funny! I'm also 5'3 but everyone thinks I'm taller because I always have heels on. Just yesterday someone told me they never knew I was so short (I had just worked out so I was wearing running shoes). lol!

Love your outfit! Especially the sheer top, so cute! I wish I was brave enough to wear red lipstick like that, I'm not sure I could pull it off, but it looks great on you.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and following, I'm following you too!

    1. That is nice to know it's not just me it happens to haha, I suppose this is what comes of living in 4 inch and above heels, people must figure me as at least 5'7 or 5'8 so I can understand their surprise when I take my shoes off in front of them for the first time lol.

You should give red lipstick a go, I am sure it would look great on you. I have been forced into wearing it because of the scar a nasty coldsore I had (over my birthday in October) has left me with, it is so dark and even more so in photos, so I now wear dark red lipstain or bright red lipgloss/lipstick on a daily basis. I suppose I could have been forced into doing worse things? lol.

      Thanks for following :)
