Ah we all know how much I love Primark (oh I do, I really do!) but this outfit all being from Primark was actually an accident. I bought the skirt (£8) and blouse (£6) yesterday and then decided to put my vest (£4) under the blouse, the blazer (£15) over the blouse and topped it off with my recent Primark sales bargain shoes (£6) oh and don't forget the ever present tights (£2.50) meaning today my outfit cost a grand total of £41.50!!! ABSOLUTE BARGAIN!! For this price I will take two please!! No only joking, but there's a thought...
Today is FRIDAY, all together now, Wooo hooooo! Mr Bertie just took me out for a lovely meal after work and now we are at home chilling out. Work is done until Monday (lets not even think about Monday) and I am going out partying tomorrow night. I have a lot to get done this weekend. I have written a mini to do list to motivate myself;
- Take Christmas tree down - it is a real tree and we bought it on 4th December, well done for lasting so long tree!
- Make and send out my thank you cards for Christmas presents
- Get together all the clothes to put on ebay
- Sort out my pyjama and underwear drawer (lol)
- Clean the house (I feel like I am always doing this!)
- Do the food shopping online (I love Sainsburys online)

How do I put my hair in a bun like that? Share.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, yes I remember the first time we met and we were at your mums house and you said 'I'm taller than you' and I said no, so we stood infront of the mirror and you just looked and said 'oh, well we are the same height'.. um, no I'm 5 ft 7 and you are 5ft 3.
Friday woooo. I've had a terrible day at work today. Help. Maybe I will facebook you about it.

you need a donut (not the eating variety) although I suppose an eating one would be good to have also whilst you do the hair... then you put hair in a ponytail, sit the donut around it, tuck hair around and back into itself around the donut and then put clear hair bobbles around the bun it creates so it pins all the loose hair to the base of the ponytail around the donut. It's a bit hard to explain, youtube it :) it takes 2 minutes, I do it when I don't have time to wash my hair :) Google sock bun also, I have seen a few bloggers do that! that would be so much harder I think.
DeleteI know, I had tall dreams and you stamped on them! Lol, joking.
Ok FB me, sorry if I dont reply tonight, I am dying of illness (MS stuff) making me grumpy. I need some cheese!
Janine xx
It's okay, it's really long so I understand but it was good to get that off my chest.

Ooohh I love a bit of primark! Nice outfit :) I'm always making lists, this weekend I've got to finish all my work and stop eating the last of the christmas chocolate! haha xxx
ReplyDeleteI agree, you can't beat Primark for a quick wardrobe update when I am skint!
DeleteOh no don't stop eating it, the chocolate is yumminess :) good luck with finishing your work though

This outfit is lovely, and I like your hair up in a bun like that. Glad you were so pleased to be thought of as being tall - I'm 5ft 9 and sometimes wish I was petite because it would make me feel cuter and more dainty!!
ReplyDeleteHope you get everything done on your list, good luck!
Lx
Thanks Lisa :) I always think tall looks dainty, reminds me of a dancer when someone is tall, I feel like a little elf or oompa loompa sometimes at my height haha, it's all in my head though I guess!
DeleteJanine xx
you've given me ideas about what to do this weekend :) Love those shorts! Beautiful fabric!
ReplyDeleteThanks, it's actually a skirt but it does look like shorts I agree :) cool! LOL.
Deleteglad I gave you some ideas, have a lovely weekend.

HI :) I love this post haha I really agree with your love for Primark; it's not overly expensive and it's got some really lovely stuff! I love how you have pieced everything together and your hair looks lovely in the bun! P.s. small is powerful! I'm squeezed in between 5'3" and 4!

Thanks Lucy, Primark is great isn't it? my office is literally a 90 second walk from Primark so I am always in there on a lunchtime browsing or buying a few bits and bobs, I love it :)
DeleteSmall is powerful you are right! Shorties unite :)
Janine xx
Love this outfit, and the fact that it didn't cost much! You really don't need to spend a lot to be stylish:) And LOL on the height comment. I'm 5ft tall, so I don't think I've ever heard anyone call me tall...jealous! :P
ReplyDeleteThanks Emmy, I enjoy trying to find nice things for cheap. Someone at work today said to me "you look very posh" I loved replying and telling her it is one of the cheapest outfits I own, I love Primark!
DeleteAw I will comment on your blog and call you tall so you can feel excited like me too haha.
Janine xx
Cute outfit! I seriously need to visit Primark...or maybe they should just open a store in Australia already ;)
ReplyDeletex Gi
alibimag.blogspot.com
I hope they open in Australia soon, especially as I may be moving there at end of 2013/start of 2014 for a few years (for Mr Bertie's job) however will I cope without my Primark if they don't open over there and we move over?! I never even considered this, oh noes lol.
DeleteJanine xx
I saw this outfit on Instagram and fell in love with it! Will have to try a similar one sometime in the future. Haha, congrats on being tall! Happy Friday!
ReplyDelete:) that makes me happy, glad I am getting into using Instagram now, I didn't understand it at first and I have only just started understanding the hash tags thing lol, I am like a proper old woman with technology sometimes!
DeleteThanks for the congrats on being tall, I am so happy about this :)
Happy Saturday lovely

Love that skirt! How pretty. I need to take down my tree too. So sad!
ReplyDeletexo Michelle
Fierce & Fashionable
Thank you :) It is really sad isn't it about the tree taking down? I have woken up really ill and Mr Bertie doesn't want to do it on his own so we may get another day out of it yet! :)

Love your outfit, very cute :).

That is so funny! I'm also 5'3 but everyone thinks I'm taller because I always have heels on. Just yesterday someone told me they never knew I was so short (I had just worked out so I was wearing running shoes). lol!
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit! Especially the sheer top, so cute! I wish I was brave enough to wear red lipstick like that, I'm not sure I could pull it off, but it looks great on you.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and following, I'm following you too!

That is nice to know it's not just me it happens to haha, I suppose this is what comes of living in 4 inch and above heels, people must figure me as at least 5'7 or 5'8 so I can understand their surprise when I take my shoes off in front of them for the first time lol.
DeleteYou should give red lipstick a go, I am sure it would look great on you. I have been forced into wearing it because of the scar a nasty coldsore I had (over my birthday in October) has left me with, it is so dark and even more so in photos, so I now wear dark red lipstain or bright red lipgloss/lipstick on a daily basis. I suppose I could have been forced into doing worse things? lol.
Thanks for following :)
Janine xx
Great outfit, your skirt looks amazing :)
ReplyDeleteAlso you should definitely try a macaron soon ;) and yes, next time I´ll colour mine dark red so you can´t see the brown!
xx

Thanks Carmen, yes I need to go to this lovely cafe we have in town that does afternoon tea etc and buy myself some macaroons :) Then I can get on with trying to make some knowing what they are meant to taste like :) Looking forward to seeing your red ones, they would be sooo pretty.

Gotta love a bit of Primark, love your skirt especially! Glad you had a lovely meal out and hope you're having fun tonight! I get the same reaction when people say I'm tall in comments because I'm only 5'5 haha xxx
ReplyDeleteWow count me as one of the shocked people, I thought you were like 5'9 or something, you look tall and elegant, isn't it funny how people can look different to how they are (in a lot of ways!)
DeleteI am staying in tonight as I am too poorly to go out boo hoo :( but I will try get out next weekend, yey :)
Janine xx
Janine, you just made my day (again) with that tall comment! Heehee...I might just print that out to say that someone did call me tall:P
ReplyDeleteAnd how awesome was that that you won a trip to Morzine....so jealous!!! I've never gone skiing, even living here in Canada, but have always wanted to go snowboarding. Maybe someday....
Anyhoo, hope you're having a lovely weekend so far:)
Aw glad I made your day lol.
DeleteOoh you really need to go skiing/snowboarding someday it is great fun.
My weekend is ok so far thanks, I'm really ill though, boo hoo. Hope yours is going well.
