Primark-a-holics Anonymous

Skirt, Shoes, Tshirt and Tights all from Primark, Cardigan from H&M, Necklace from eBay

Hello, my name is Janine and I am a Primark-a-holic (hello Janine!) Yup, I really do think I am addicted to Primark at the moment, it is getting to the stage where I really think I need to ban myself for a month or two. So far this week I have spent every single lunch hour browsing Primark (the hazards of it being a 15 second walk from my office) and have purchased quite a few bits and pieces, including this skirt and long sleeved t-shirt (and the blouse from yesterday).  However, I have only managed to spend £30 in there due to sale prices and also buying some very cheap basics (which I discovered I am am really in need of).  I love this skirt for it's comfortable fit and the fact that it will look just as good in the Spring or Summer with bare legs, wedges and a denim jacket over it.  For just £6 it is a BARGAIN!

The Primarni-a-holics Prayer
Our Primarni, who art near my office
Hallowed be thy sale
Thy £13 dresses, thy £5 bags
On my lunch break as it is in walking distance
Give us this day our daily threads
And forgive us our rummaging
As we forgive those who drop on the floor
Lead us not into polyester and deliver us from static
For thine is the replica, the fast fashion and the hidden gem
For pay day or for skint days, we thank you! Amen

    1. Thanks Ginny. I broke it on Sunday, I nearly cried. Mr Bertie came to the rescue and fixed it with his pliers and I was all happy again :) I might wear it today :)

    1. Maybe I need to move further away from it so I can save some pennies haha. Thanks, it has been a great skirt for remixing, I keep wanting to wear it again but still have some other things I need to make sure I wear first (I am trying to wear everything in my wardrobe) Hope you had a lovely weekend.

  6. Your skirt is so cute! I'm so jealous of anyone who lives near a Primark. The last time I was in the UK I was only allowed 15 minutes in there (thanks to my bf who thought it was too busy) :(

    1. Thanks Christine. That is a shame that you only had 15 minutes in there!! It can get mega busy and hard to navigate though. Hopefully they will open one near you soon :)

  8. Haha, I love it! )(Both the outfit and the Primark prayer!)

I will join your chapter of Primark anonymous... I've successfully managed to avoid it for a few weeks, but only because I spent all my money on Christmas/the sales, so I've been trying to just keep out of the way of temptation. But they opened a huge branch in our town a couple of years ago (before that the nearest one was about 30 miles away), and from the day it opened, I knew I was doomed. It just sucks you in. You tell yourself you'll just pop in for a new pair of tights, and the next thing you know, it's two hours later and you're carrying all these bags...

    1. Thanks Amber :) Well done for avoiding it these past few weeks, I need some of your willpower! I remember going in once for a pair of cotton sports socks for the gym that night (I had forgotten to pack them into my gym bag) and came out having spent over a hundred pounds, it was like I was in a trance!! I found it impossible to stuff all the bags into my gym locker too so had to come home and miss my gym session, win win situation!! Haha :)

    1. :) it is an amazing temple of cheapness haha, you really need to experience a shopping session in a Primark one day, if you ever come across to Europe scope out whether where you are going has a Primark, it is a must see, they should put it in the guide books lol.

    1. :) hehe, glad you liked it. I really like H&M too but that shop is quite a long way from my office (a 15 minute walk which is a trek when you only get a 30 minute lunch break lol) so it has escaped my obsessions so far. If I move to an office in that part of town though who knows what might happen
