Sunday Lunch in The Snow

Dress from Glamorous at ASOS, Tights from Topshop, Boots from Faith (ancient), Cardigan from H&M, Bag from Primark, Coat from French Connection, Ear Muffs from M&S







Today it is still snowing and absolutely freezing but I was beginning to go a bit stir crazy so I persuaded Mr Bertie to take me out for lunch at a lovely little pub just a few minutes drive away.  The roads were a bit treacherous but it was well worth it for the view at the top and the lovely yummy food.  I had an organic beef burger that came out on a slate with lots of salad and cheese, gorgeous but far too big for me so I left most of it (I always feel bad when I leave food so I was trying to hide bits of it and Mr Bertie was telling me off haha).  Mr Bertie got a fish pie topped with organic cheddar which he said was really nice and he had a real ale to wash it down with, hardcore!  I was layered up but the wind chill is making for some very cold temperatures today (which is why I took my outfit photos minus the coat in our kitchen. I did try brave it up at the pub but I felt like I might die if I took my coat off, sorry about that. I tried to be dedicated but that was going too far).

Now we are back home and Mr Bertie has gone back to bed for a bit as he is not very well (again!) he has been so poorly since he started working in that new office.  Get well soon Mr Bertie.  I have lots of house work to do but that can wait a bit. For the next hour or two I am going to snuggle up in my onesie with hot drinks and peanut M&Ms. I may even put a film on. What a perfect Sunday.

    1. Thanks Alison, I love ipiccy it makes it really quick and easy to edit up photos like this, although to be honest that pub is so pretty anyway it didn't really need the editing :)

    1. Thanks Emmy, he is a bit better now but still not great. sounds hectic at your end, I feel so lazy when I hear about people with kids. Worst thing is I don't get bored doing nothing, just get a bit stir crazy sometimes in the house lol.

  18. Sounds like a wonderful day, I was at work so not so wonderful for me. The snow is coming the snow is coming! It is not very impressive here, but it is supposed to snow all night which is exciting apart from me having to work in the morning. WOEWOEOEOWOEOE.

    Are we still on for this Saturday? (as long as the weather allows, that is!)

    1. Did you get some snow? It was knee deep here and there are drifts and piled up snow from being cleared from the paths that are waist deep on me, it is like super snow land!

      It is Joelle's birthday on Saturday I completely forgot about that sorry and I can't really do day and the night as it wipes me out. Let me know what days off you have next week? I have 5 days off next week (I have too much annual leave to take as I worked all Christmas and didn't take a break last summer) so we can get something arranged :)

    1. I must admit I only stepped into the deeper snow for that photo, the rest of the snow I was walking on was only a couple of inches and my heels lifted me out of that so it was fine :) I do love my heels. He is feeling a lot better now thank you :)
