The LOVE-ly Dress

Linking up with Casual Chic Mom Blog
Favorite Frock Friday
Dress from In Love with Fashion (sold out now, boo hoo!), Tights from Primark, Shoes from ASOS
Firstly can I say how much I LOVE this dress, I saw it online last week (as part of Love Fashion's 3 for £29.99 deal so it effectively cost me just short of £10!) and I knew right then and there I had to have it. It was one of those moments when you hold your breath as you check what sizes they have in stock and I let out a massive sigh of relief/happiness when I saw my size was available. I also made sure I checked out right away to prevent the "Oh my god I browsed too long and now my basket has expired and my size has sold out" moment of doom that sometimes happens (that is the worst isn't it? I have actually nearly cried once when that happened, I lingered and debated far too long over some shoes, stupid stupid girl, how did I think I would need to even think about it?!)

I have nothing very exciting to report today, I am setting off to work in a bit (it is 7am here) and I have my appraisal today which I am sooo not prepared for. I am going to have to do some last minute work on it this morning.  I may take myself out for an indulgent lunch at a little tea-room cafe place we have hidden away in the centre of town (it is all shabby chic with little wrought iron chairs, chintzy table cloths and homemade cupcakes, so cute) after all it is Friday and what better reason to treat myself?!

Someone in our town has won a million pounds on the euromillions lottery (the raffle part) I don't play it but I really hope it is someone I know, if so I will have a pair of these please...

Happy Friday everyone

  1. Just replying to your question here.

No we don't usually get 35 degree or higher weather here. Maybe every once in a while but not all the time. I'd say the summer weather varies between 22 degrees - 29 degrees being the highest.

  5. This dress is gorgeous, what a lovely pattern and colours, and it fits you really well.

Louboutins would be on my wishlist too if I won the lottery!

Hope your appraisal went well, I had the same lunch idea as you today - treated myself to a sandwich and granola bar from my overpriced but lovely local deli instead of having a packed lunch!

    1. Thanks Lisa. Your sandwich sounds delish, I didn't manage to get to the cafe as I didn't finish my appraisal document until an hour before my appraisal and had to reply to some urgent emails before going in for my appraisal meeting, I will treat myself next Friday :-) My appraisal went really well thanks, I came out of it feeling really proud of myself.

  6. I love this dress! Good luck today, I saw on fb you have to write an 8 page paper. If is real life or a college course???? That's crazy to me!

    1. Thanks Ginny. The appraisal is 'real life' lol I love the way you have put that, for my job. We all have to do it, have to justify that we can do our jobs every year by wasting loads of time writing reports and appraisals about it and then have to have a long meeting to discuss it (the appraisal) if people don't meet the competencies of their jobs during their appraisals it can lead to being sacked for incompetency (that wouldn't happen to me though luckily as I work too hard) but you have to get high scores as when they start making redundancies next year (or sooner) they will eventually use the scores as one of the selection criterias for redundancy apparently (in some services). Fun fun fun. It went really well though so all is well for another year thanks :)

It is a size XS (6-8) it is a teeny bit big across the bust but I don't want to give it away I love it sorry (I will take the seams in under the arms when I get going on my sewing yey) They do the playsuit version of it which looks like a dress have you seen that? It is new stock and not sold out yet (or hadn't when I last looked)take a look on the website :)
