Waking Up and Realising It Is Saturday!

Dress and Boots from ASOS, Blazer, Thermal Tights and bag from Primark, Ring from Boots, Hat from Accessorize, Scarf from Next (I think, it was a gift)

I woke up this morning at 5.30am (the time I get up for work during the week) got up and went downstairs to get a coffee.  Halfway down the stairs I realised it was Saturday and the feeling I got from that was AMAZING!! I went back upstairs, snuggled into bed and snoozed all the way through until 8.30am, BLISS!  The weekend has arrived and I am so in need of it, this last week has been majorly hectic at work and I am not sleeping well at all (getting around 3-4 hours a night maximum) as Mr Bertie is snoring really badly at the moment. I have felt like a zombie all week, walking around in a sort of daze. Anyway, that doesn't matter now the weekend is upon us :) I have decided to pop into town this morning to do some window shopping and to collect my parcel at New Look (I treated myself to some shoes when they had a 50% off discount on full price shoes recently - I hope they all fit!).  I may even take myself for lunch if I get time.  I need to make sure I don't stay in town too long though as I have lots to do at home and still need to book the Valentines mini break.  Mr Bertie is staying home to finish off the back garden and shed with his friend, we never ever go shopping together anyway, he HATES it and I am happiest shopping alone (albeit window shopping at the moment) as I can focus, I take it very seriously haha.

The weather today is lovely, very sunny if still very cold so I am sure this outfit will be just fine for a wander around town, I have my thermal tights on and also I will probably put a fine knit jumper under the blazer for an extra layer.  My hat is super warm and cosy and my ears have never been more grateful with this icy wind we are having. I kind of think I have a bit of a 'granny chic' look going on today with this retro floral print, granny handbag (I always think these style handbags look like granny bags but I love them all the same) and my cosy knitted hat. Mr Bertie said this hat makes me look like Bob Marley, but he loves Bob Marley so that is ok. No Woman no cry and all that.

Well I best be off, don't want to miss the bus (yes I lead a very glamorous life) what is everyone else up to today? Are you excited that the weekend is here? And is anyone going out tonight? I am feeling in need of a major night out but I am a bit too tired at the moment and need to save my energy (and money) for our weekend away next weekend, yey!

  31. You are so funny! I wake up at 5:30 to go to work too but I've never done that on a Saturday. Must have been a great feeling! I think that dress is so cute and I love how you paired it with that cute scarf and blazer. And as for the dress I posted today, I'm so sad you couldn't get it in your size! I'm a size 4 and to be honest, I probably would have sized up to a medium. But I wish you the best in finding your Valentine's outfit ♥
